MARVEL RACE OUTFITS
Role: creative direction, designer, photographer, photo editor.
Inspired in moto GP, F1 and motor sports aesthetics, Marvel super heroes suits were transformed in usable and edgy street wear.
Starting from scratch this projects goes from cloth designing, fabric printing to final images to publish. Take a look to the whole process ;)
As Marvel movies, street fashion has a main relevance nowadays, from IG influencers to singers street wear is in the top of followed and used styles.
Mixing the huge hype of the movies and the aggressive and saturated motor sports aesthetics, I took the suits and colors of Iron Man, Hulk and Spiderman to create a street style sports outfits.
Based on the initial designs the original pattern was sectioned, guided by sewing and cutting parameters. The same process was applied to the pants.
Moreover, the designs had to be adapted to the size and proportions of the pattern and resizing. For this collection were designed the S,M and L sizes.
For the final images the idea was to obtain a futuristic vintage vive. I get this using some grids, mate blacks, gradients, a lot of glows and grain.
I also gave importance to the secondary elements, some of the objects were rendered using Blender and I created special styles for the main signs.
I tried to take back the video games and science fiction movies posters from 80s and 90s.
The main image was made in Adobe Photoshop merging three photos, one for each outfit.
Also, the compositions were created to be sectioned in squares and be published on Instagram.
